Sheikh Shams od-Din Deccani
Sheikh Shams od-Din Deccani, known as Shams Mowla, was the 27th Qutb of the Order and the son of Sheikh Mahmoud Deccani. He was born in Hyderabad, Deccan, in 1080 AH and learned the religious sciences and disciplines of the Sufi path under his father's guidance. Sources record the widespread respect he enjoyed among the people of the Deccan. He died on 14 Jumada al-Awwal 1161 AH and was succeeded by his son, Seyyed Ali Reza, under the title Reza Ali Shah.
