Biography
Seyyed Nur al-Din Nematollah ibn Mohammad Kuhbanani Kermani
Shah Nematollah Vali was one of Iran’s great Sufi masters and the founder of the Nematollahi tradition in the eighth and ninth centuries AH. He was an important teacher of Sufi practice and a Persian poet, and his followers spread the Nematollahi order within and beyond Iran. His divan contains a large body of ghazals, qasidas, rubaiyat, masnavis, and other forms. Sources differ over his exact birth and death years.
