Seyyed Nematollah, son of Abdollah
Shah Nematollah Vali, known by the title Seyyed Nour od-Din, was one of the foremost mystics of the eighth and ninth centuries AH and the 16th Qutb of the lineage. The Nematollahi Order later came to bear his name. Born in 731 AH in Kuhbanan, Kerman, he studied the principal sciences of his time before devoting himself to the Sufi path. In Mecca, he received authorization for spiritual guidance from Sheikh Abdollah Yafei. He spent the final years of his life in Mahan, Kerman, where he died in 834 AH. His surviving works include a divan of poetry and numerous treatises on mysticism, literature, and other scholarly subjects.
