Mirza Mohammad Baqer Samet Borujerdi
Samet Borujerdi was a prominent religious poet and elegist of the late Qajar period. He is best known for Ashura poetry, lamentations, and praise of the Prophet’s family, many of which are still performed in mourning ceremonies. His divan includes ghazals, qasidas, rubaiyat, elegies, and examples of bahr-e tavil.
