Biography
Mirza Hasan Esfahani
Safi Ali Shah was a prominent Qajar poet and Sufi master of the Nematollahi order. His extensive travels and khanqah activity in Tehran played an important role in the spread of urban Sufism. Bahr al-Haqayeq, Zobdat al-Asrar, a verse commentary on the Qur'an, and his divan are among his most important works in poetry and prose.
