Abu Tayyeb Mohammad ibn Hatem Mos'abi

Abu Tayyeb Mos'abi was a man of letters, statesman, and poet of Greater Khorasan who held administrative offices under the Samanids and composed poetry in both Persian and Arabic. For a time he headed the chancery of Nasr ibn Ahmad Samanid and is remembered in historical sources for both his political and literary standing. Sixteen Persian verses and examples of his Arabic poetry survive in early sources.
