Mirza Mehdi Qoli Khan Kermani
Afsar Kermani was a Qajar-period poet, calligrapher, and cultural organizer. After gaining recognition in Tehran, he received the title Afsar al-Sho'ara, but later followed an independent path and founded Kerman’s first literary society. His poetry is collected in Divan-e Afsar Kermani, and sources speak of two divans totaling roughly seven thousand verses.
