Biography
Iraj Mirza was a major poet of the Constitutional era and a pioneer of a fresher, more direct language in Persian poetry. Working within classical forms, he introduced social, educational, family, and critical themes in a style closer to everyday speech. Divan-e Iraj is the principal collection of his poetry and narrative verse.
