Ashraf al-Din Abu Mohammad Hasan ibn Mohammad Hosayni Ghaznavi
Seyyed Hasan Ghaznavi, also known as Ashraf and writing under the takhallus Hasan, was a sixth-century AH poet and preacher. He spent part of his life in the service of Bahramshah Ghaznavi and Sultan Sanjar and wrote in several Persian poetic forms. He was a contemporary of Sana'i, and his divan is his principal literary legacy. He died in 565 AH.
