Biography

Sheikh Abd al-Hosayn Fanudi

Fanudi was a poet, historian, and man of letters from the Qohestan and Birjand region. He studied in Mashhad and became knowledgeable in hadith, history, and literary sciences before returning to his native area. His most important work is Mer'at al-Maknunat fi Tarikh-e Qa'enat, a history of the Qohestan region that remained unfinished because of his early death.
