Mir Nezam al-Din Ali-Shir Nava'i

Amir Ali-Shir Nava'i was a major Timurid poet, thinker, and statesman who wrote in Persian and Chagatai Turkic and was therefore known as Zol-lesaneyn. In Persian poetry he used the takhallus Fani, while in Turkic works he wrote as Nava'i. His literary legacy includes an extensive body of poetry and prose in both languages and was foundational to the flourishing of Chagatai literature.
