Biography

Abu al-Masal Bokharai, also known as Bu al-Masal Bokharai, was a poet of the Samanid period and the fourth century AH. Little is known of his life, but references in early sources and in the work of poets near his time show that he was known in Bukhara’s literary milieu. Only a few verses and fragments survive, and he is believed to have died before 342 AH.
