Ahmad ibn Ja'far ibn Yahya Barmaki

Ahmad Barmaki, whose full name was Ahmad ibn Ja'far ibn Yahya Barmaki, was a fourth-century AH historian, astronomer, man of letters, and bilingual Persian-Arabic poet. His poems were collected in his own time, but only one known Persian verse survives. Sources place his death around 324–326 AH.
