Baha al-Din Valad Mohammad ibn Hosayn Khatibi Bakri
Baha Valad, widely known as Soltan al-Olama, was a mystic, preacher, and Sufi master of the sixth and seventh centuries AH and the father of Mawlana Jalal al-Din Balkhi. He preached and taught in Khorasan and later along the family’s migration route to Anatolia. His most important independent work is Ma'aref, a collection of mystical reflections and teachings that is invaluable for understanding the intellectual environment of Molavi’s family.
