Farid al-Din Abu Hamed Mohammad Attar Nishapuri
Farid al-Din Attar Nishapuri was one of the greatest Persian poets and mystics of the late sixth and early seventh centuries AH. His works had a profound influence on Persian mystical literature and on poets such as Molavi. Mantiq al-Tayr, Elahi-nameh, Mosibat-nameh, Mokhtar-nameh, and Tazkerat al-Owliya are among his best-known works, although the attribution of some texts traditionally associated with Attar remains debated.
